What should I bring during my first visit?

If this is your first visit with us please be sure to bring your pet’s previous medical records and your Welcome Sheet which can be downloaded on this page.

How should I prepare for my first visit?

If this is your first visit here is how you can prep your pet:

  • Please put the pups on a leash and the kitties in a crate.
  • Bring your pet’s medical records
  • Please complete the Welcome Sheet prior to your visit. You can print the form out and bring the completed copy with you. You may also download the form, complete it electronically and email us a copy to OutbackAnimalClinic@gmail.com. If you email the form kindly notify the receptionist during your visit.
  • Please note that by law every patient is required to have a rabies vaccine. We will need to verify that your pet is up to date and if they are not we can assist with giving them the vaccine during your visit.

We will assist with the rest.

Should I wait with my pet or drop them off?

You can definitely stay with your pet if you’d like. We will do our best to give you accurate time estimates so that if you have a scheduling conflict, you can decide whether dropping them off is a better option. If you do need to drop your pet off, depending on the reason for your visit, you may need to talk to the veterinarian before you go so allow some time for that. If your pet is coming in for a sick visit, plan to discuss their ailments with the veterinarian before leaving. For a well visit we’ll need previous history & records. Your pet should be current on their vaccines and then you’ll be all set.

When should I spay/neuter my pet?

Varies by breed. Larger dogs, we may recommend to wait for their first heat cycle
Smaller breeds, around 6 months.

Should I bring anything with my pet for their boarding/hospital stay?

We will provide your fur babies with a bed, some toys to play with, and food during their boarding visits. If you prefer to bring your own items, we will set their pad up with them.

During hospital stays you don’t need to bring anything for your pet. Feel free to bring them a comfort item that smells like home such as a t-shirt or their own blankets.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Care Credit, and checks.
